A New 28 Day Devotional for Teen Girls

Do you ever feel like there must be more to knowing God?

I Need to Know You is a 28- day devotional based on the journal writings of Emily Hieber. As a young teen girl Emily wanted to know God with all her heart   She spent special time each day talking with God and wrote down their conversations in her journal. In this devotional you will discover how to know God more intimately and experience His love for you in a fresh new way.

"Emily's pure words convey her hunger for God and describe an intimate relationship with Him, that causes a longing to be stirred in the reader for the same! This book opens one's heart to an encounter with God." Sharon Best, Life Coach
The story of

Emily M. Hieber

Emily was born in 1985 and passed away from a brain tumor in 2004.

Emily wanted to know God with all her heart. Nearly every day, she spent a quiet time with the Lord. She would ask God questions and write down the answers she heard in her heart. This devotional is a record of her conversations with God.

She didn’t often write in her journal about her life circumstances and the challenges she was facing. Her focus was on knowing and loving God. Emily had lots of friends, yet her best friend was Jesus, her Lord and Savior.

When Emily was 17 years old, she had a seizure and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. In one day, her life changed. She went from being a normal, active high school senior to needing constant attention for a life-threatening medical condition.

For the next 21 months, Emily went through many trials and treatments for the brain tumor. In the midst of it all, she still graduated from high school, volunteered as a teacher, and even recorded a worship song.

After fighting a good fight, Emily went to be with Jesus in heaven on September 29, 2004, at the age of 19.

Even though Emily lives in heaven now, her voice is not silent. She is still speaking to us through her spiritual journals.

My prayer is that Emily’s journal will inspire you to passionately seek God so that you can know and experience his love for you.

“Lord Jesus, I need to know you. I began crying out to you four years ago—to know you and to know your love. You have brought me so deep into yourself, but I long to have more.”
